Overview

These two amazing movies are part of the “Blade Runner” movie series. This American movie series is a neo-noir science fiction media franchise based on the novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Philip K. Dick.

“Blade Runner” was the first one to be released, and although it did not turn out to be very popular in the beginning, it then became a cult classic, and science fiction has been influenced by the movie ever since.

Three decades later, on the year of the 30th anniversary of the first ‘Blade Runner” movie, a short film was released followed by other short films detailing the events that happened between the years 2019 and 2049, between “Blade Runner” and “Blade Runner 2049”.

Finally, and to give the movie series some kind of end or conclusion, “Blade Runner 2049”, which was set 30 years apart form the original “Blade Runner”, was released in 2017, 35 years after the release of the first one.
